  • Substance identification including Trivial and Trade names

  • Components and Contaminants

  • Physical data (e.g., melting point, boiling point, flash point etc.)

  • Fire and Explosion properties

  • Toxicity

  • Health effects and First Aid guidance

  • Reactivity

  • Storage and Disposal and Conditions to avoid

  • Spillage and Leakage procedures

  • Protective equipment

  • Appropriate procedures for the safe handling and disposal of the substance


MSDS are available from many sources and although their format tends to vary between sources, they almost all include this same collection of information.
